ProtectBox is designed to be discreet and easy to install.

It can be fixed:

with magnetic mount

with screws

inside the mailbox or near the opening.

No complex technical installation is required.

Important – Compatibility and conditions of use

To work with real-time alerts, the camera must be connected to home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz).

⚠️ Wi-Fi Distance

The connection depends on the distance between the mailbox and your home.

Mailbox close to home → generally works very well

Mailbox far away (10–20 m or more) → connection may be weaker

In this case, a home Wi-Fi repeater can improve reception.

Metal Mailboxes

Some thick metal mailboxes can attenuate the Wi-Fi signal.

In these situations, it is advisable to place the camera:

near the opening slot

or close to the front of the box.

This allows for better signal transmission.

Recording

The camera can record events on a micro-SD card (not included).

This allows you to keep a history of detected openings and movements.
